A native Austinite, Mr. Dorsen graduated from Westlake High School. Mr. Dorsen then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. At UT, Mr. Dorsen participated in Student Government; was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity; and honored by The Cactus Yearbook with the Goodfellow Award, which recognizes students who make significant contributions on-and-off campus. In his two years of work prior to law school, Mr. Dorsen worked for an international law firm which represented a major pharmaceutical corporation in a nationwide products-liability lawsuit.
Mr. Dorsen then attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. While in law school, Mr. Dorsen attended Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and participated in its international law program. Additionally, Mr. Dorsen took courses such as: Criminal Trial Advocacy, Texas Civil and Criminal Procedure, Agency and Partnerships, Federal Income Tax, and Payment Systems.
In his spare time, Mr. Dorsen enjoys traveling, cycling, college sports, and spending time with his family.
